Midland Studio College, Hinckley

Beauty and Utility Arts is really pleased to be working with Midland Studio College in Hinckley (http://www.msc.leics.sch.uk/) and have taken on two work placement students interested in finding out more about a local business and what we do.

Rachel and Hasan are on their Summer holidays at the moment (lucky things) but Rachel wrote us this mini blog post before she left.

Hi, I am Rachel Mullis (15 years old) and I have just started a new work placement at ‘Beauty & Utility Arts.’

I am studying ‘Health and Social Care’ and study at The Midland Studio College, Hinckley. Other than all the main subjects I do I also have enrichment every Friday for three hours doing art. Beauty & Utility Arts offer the two together and this is why I think it was a good option for me to take, so I can succeed in them both instead of studying one thing at a time.

When I heard about what the Beauty & Utility Arts were about I thought it was engaging and wanted to find out more. They offer a wide range of projects, which I think is really good for people to get involved with. I will hopefully getting involved with many of their new upcoming projects and will keep you updated with what’s new.
